New Family Theater Reconstruction, Village of Mount Morris

The Village of Mount Morris owns the unique New Family Theater, a 1936 Art Deco building, located in downtown Mount Morris.  The building sat vacant and underutilized for over 25 years before the Village took ownership. Thoma Development helped Mount Morris secure $433,477 in Restore NY funds to demolish and reconstruct the rear portion of the building to create new, quality commercial space in the downtown.  The Village utilized the Restore NY funds, along with New York Main Street funds, to also restore the facade and marquee.  The Village is currently working to return the space to active use, which will significantly further their downtown revitalization efforts.
